2007 NCAA Outdoor 100m runner-up, 3rd in 200m
Floyd qualified for her first Olympic Team after her sixth place finish in the women's 400m earned her a
spot in the 4x400m relay pool...She was named the 2007 Conference USA Female Athlete of the Year after
finishing second in the 100 meters and third in the 200 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships...In 2006,
Floyd Returned from a two-year layoff. She ran the anchor leg on Houston's relay team that finished
in eighth place and set a school record with a time of 3:32.28 at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Outdoors she won the 100 meters (11.13) and the 200 meters (22.66) at the Conference USA Championships...
Floyd earned Indoor and Outdoor Conference USA Freshman-of-the-Year honors in 2003 after winning both
the 200 and 400 meters Indoors and winning the 400 and placing second in the 200 Outdoors... Father,
Stanley, was a track student-athlete at Houston and was the 1982 NCAA 100-meter champion and the 1982
NCAA 60-yard runner-up...her mother, Delissa Walton-Floyd, was the 1983 NCAA 800-meter champion and the
NCAA indoor champion and world record holder in the 600 yards after winning the 1981 and 1982 AIAW 600-yard
indoor and 800-yard outdoor national championships....was a human development major while at Rice.
